Keynote Speech Gender Medicine as a door opener to individualized, data based medicine Alexandra Kautzky-Willer, Head of the Gender Medicine Unit, Medical University of Vienna Differences in men’s and women’s body composition, metabolism or hormone level on the one hand often lead to gender-specific diseases. In addition gender-related social aspects like risk behaviour and lifestyle-habits tend to affect the occurance and the course of diseases very significantly. Thus, gender awareness pathed the way to personalized diagnosis and individualized, tailor-made treatments. |

Keynote Speech The future of integrated health prevention and monitoring tools - how global companies, start-ups and patients work together Sabine Radl, CEO Sanofi Aventis GmbH The company’s goal is to develop comprehensive solutions which combine devices, software, medicine, and professional care to enable simple and intelligent disease management. Sabine Radl will show us examples of a cooperation which has been developped to support patients who suffer from diabetes. Using state-of-the art medical knowledge, apps, tools and gamification programs the patients optimize their individual medical treatment – and further on their quality of life.
