MARIA KLETECKA-PULKER

Deputy Chair Woman of the Institute for Ethics and Law in Medicine

 

Dr. iur Maria Kletecka-Pulker is a specialist of medical law.

Since 2005 she has been a research associate at the Medical University of Vienna and managing director at the Institute for Ethics and Law in Medicine (research platform of the University of Vienna). From 2007 to 2010 she was Vice-Chairwoman of the Commission of the Supreme Medical Council for Quality Assurance in Addiction Diseases. Since 2008 she has been Managing Director of the Austrian Patient Safety Platform (ANetPAS) as well as from 2008 to 2013 scientific director of the university course "Patient Safety and Quality in the Health System".


Since 2009 Maria Kletecka-Pulker has been member of the Bioethics Commission at the Federal Chancellery; lecturer at the University of Vienna, at the Medical University of Vienna (human medicine, dentistry, postgraduate courses) etc; editor of the Handbook Medizinrecht für die Praxis (Verlag Manz) and author of numerous articles on medical law.

She holds a PhD in law from the University of Vienna.
